  • How do I make a purchase through Monetha?

    When you find an item you want to purchase, communicate with the seller and suggest them to make a deal through Monetha.

    Inviting the seller to use Monetha is easy - just click the “I'm buying” button, type in brief information about the item, and enter the seller’s phone number. The seller will receive this information to their phone and download the Monetha app if they don’t already have it. Then the seller will create the deal on Monetha and send it to you. You will receive a text message notification when the deal has been sent to you.

    Once you have the deal open in the Monetha app and agree to everything described on the “Deal details” page, click the green “I’m ready to seal the deal” button.

  • How do I edit an agreement?

    If there is some information you want edited, communicate with the seller to decide on the aspects of the deal you want changed. The seller will then need to go edit the deal for you. Make sure you don’t sign a deal before you are 100% certain you agree to all the details.

  • How do I extend the time limit to accept the deal?

    You can ask the seller to extend the time for the deal so you have a bit more time before making the actual exchange.

  • What should I do when I commit to buy?

    When you are ready to commit to buy, click the green “I’m ready to seal the deal” button at the bottom of the “Deal details” page to move forward with the transaction. 

    You will then have the option to "Sign the deal". Note that you will not be able to finalize the deal until the seller first signs it on their end. 

    After the deal is signed, that's it! Congratulations with your purchase!

  • Can I cancel the contract if it’s signed?

    You will not be able to cancel a contract once you’ve signed the deal, so make sure you are confident in your purchase decision! If there is a problem with the item, you can report it and ask the seller to address it. We will support you through the process.

  • Can I return an item?

    There are two instances in which you can return an item. If a seller includes in the description of their item that they accept returns, you will be able to return the item. Additionally, if the item you purchased was defective, find the receipt from your deal by clicking “Deals”. At the bottom of the receipt, click “Report a problem”, tell us what had happened and provide as much detail as possible. If the seller does not get back to you, Monetha Buyer Protection is there for you.

For sellers

  • How do I create a deal?

    To create a deal, click the blue and green arrow icon in the center of the menu bar at the bottom of the Monetha app. Then click the blue button "I'm selling" and fill in the details of the item being sold, including related pictures, the price, the condition, etc., as prompted.

    That's it! Now you're ready to invite the buyer to formalise the deal using Monetha.

  • How do I import my ad from another platform?

    At the moment you cannot import your ad from another platform. You need to create the deal on Monetha to be able to benefit from the Monetha Reputation System. However, you can link your Monetha profile to other platforms on which you have deals listed. That way people can see your deal and reputation in the same place,

  • How do I edit a deal?

    To edit a deal, select the deal you want to edit, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Edit details”. Once you’re done editing, click “Update details” button and this will automatically send a notification to the buyer.

  • How do I add photos to my deal?

    You can add pictures to your deal by clicking “Edit deal” found at the bottom of the “Deal details” page. Click “Add more photos” at the bottom of the “Edit” screen. Then click the “Update details” button.

  • What should I do once a buyer commits to buy?

    Once a buyer has committed to buying, the app will notify you about it. Now the only thing left to do is to sign the deal. When you are ready, tap the green "Sign the deal" button and wait until the buyer does the same on their end. 

    That's it! Congratulations with your sale!

  • Can I cancel an agreement if it’s signed?

    Be confident you want to go through with a purchase before “sealing the deal” because you will not be able to cancel it. If there is a problem with the item, you can report a problem and we will help you resolve the issue.
